NEW HAVEN, CONN. (AUG. 17, 2016)–The Veterans of Foreign Wars New Haven Post 12150 will host a Founders Day Reception from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 10, 2016 in Woodbridge, Connecticut. A brief veterans-themed speaking program will be featured.
Organized to celebrate the anniversary of the formation and the chartering of the VFW New Haven, the reception also coincides with Patriot Day and the National Day of Service and Remembrance—where Americans observe the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Tickets are $20.00 a person and attendance is limited. Because the reception is a social function of a military nature, medals are authorized to be worn on civilian clothes as directed by service regulations. Recommended dress is blues & grays for comrades and business casual for guests. Hors d’oeuvres (canapés, crudité, Buffalo wings, and Stas’ Secret East Shore Pulled-Pork Sliders) and selected refreshments (beer, wine, water, soda) will be offered. Please contact Adjutant Allahna Torres for details.
