The VFW New Haven had a Buddy Poppy distribution a the New Haven CitySeed Farmers Market in Wooster Square on Saturday, December 4, 2016. CitySeed donated the space which allowed us to distribute approximately 400 Buddy Poppies to shoppers. Chaplain James Namnoum was a good sport and recited “In Flanders Fields” by John McCrae, first published on Dec. 8, 1915 and the inspiration for the Buddy Poppy program started in 1922.
