#VetHikes are informal & free hikes around greater New Haven with some veterans and friends for a few hours.
Free, fun, and flat 6-mile hike from Lighthouse Point Park, with a pit stop at Dunkin (189 Forbes Ave, New Haven, CT 06512) to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park (Long Wharf Drive). Hikers meet at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park and carpool to Lighthouse Point Park (31 Sibley Ln, New Haven, CT 06511).
#VetHike SOP: Coffee, camaraderie, friendly pets, and student veteran groups are welcome; however, there is no service, medical, or straggler support. Please no aggressive dogs, visible weapons, or political stuff. Uniform is weather and hiking appropriate gear. Military-themed outwear is encouraged for service members and veterans.
