Building Homes for Heroes Home Celebration: East Haven

A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom will be moving from New York to East Haven and will be gifted a handicapped accessible home. The home is being provided by Building Homes for Heroes (https://www.buildinghomesforheroes.org).

American Legion posts are asked to bring their color guards to participate in an approximately 1/2 mile parade from the assembly point to the home. Veterans not participating in the color guards are asked to line the parade route holding U.S, flags. The Department plans to have some flags on hand for Legionnaires to hold. Posts are encouraged to provide additional flags if possible.

Post #89 (574 Thompson Ave, East Haven) will be open after the event for fellowship for all who are interested in stopping in.
