VFW NEW HAVEN POST ‘CELEBRATES’ VETERANS DAY

NEW HAVEN, CONN (Nov. 11, 2015)–Members of the recently chartered Veterans of Foreign Wars New Haven Post 12150 fanned out across the region, participating in Veterans Day Ceremonies and celebrations.

Post Commander Charles M. Pickett was the keynote speaker for the New Haven Veterans Day Ceremony at the Center Church on the Green, which featured U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, New Haven Mayor Toni Harp and the Unity Boys Choir. A wreath laying at the War Memorial on the New Haven Green concluded the ceremony.

Sr. Vice Commander Rob Clark spoke at a Veterans Day ceremony in Wallingford. Chaplain James Namnoum was a featured classroom speaker.

Additionally, the VFW New Haven coordinated a Veterans Day Social! at Wheelers Restaurant & Taproom in Woodbridge to celebrate the service and sacrifice of all veterans.
