New Haven WWI Commemoration and Rededication

New Haven WWI Centennial Commemoration will be on the New Haven Green from October 12-14 with a “living history” encampment on Saturday from 8:30 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 to 1:00 p.m.
The Commemoration will culminate with a 1:00 p.m. Sunday ceremony. It will feature authors and professors who will speak about the First World War, later followed by an Honor Roll Ceremony and re-dedication of the WW1 Monument on the Green.
The Yale Concert Band is providing period music throughout the ceremony and a military firing salute, “TAPS” and reading of the names from the Honor Roll that is on the plaques affixed to the monument will be read.
